Before Jonathan and I bought Caring Transitions of NYC from previous owner, Adrian Walter-Ginzburg, I worked for Adrian. I started by helping her with the administrative side of the
business and then started assisting the team in the field. I am a professional
organizer with my own organizing business, so that proved useful, especially on
large projects.
While working with Adrian, I realized I had a
passion for working with seniors and helping them through these large,
challenging situations. I was used to organizing play rooms and closets, but with
Caring Transitions, I felt like I was making a real difference. When Adrian
decided it was time to retire, she asked if Jonathan and I wanted to take over.
We knew the answer was yes!

I spent most of my career in customer
service, sales and management. When Lidia approached me about buying Caring
Transitions of NYC from Adrian and taking on the business full-time, I knew it
was an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the seniors and families in
our community. Although I hadn’t worked with Caring Transitions before, I knew
my background and experience would help us build a successful business.
Our mission at Caring
Transitions of NYC is to help each and every customer by creating full-service
solutions that meet their needs and help them to move onto the next chapter in
their lives. We treat our clients the way we’d want our families to be treated,
and that makes a difference.
Adrian Walter-Ginzburg
I was born and raised in New York City and have been in the senior housing, senior services, and real estate business for many years. Caring Transitions provides help to individuals and their families, especially older people, needing assistance with de-cluttering, home safety, moving, downsizing, estate sales, and liquidations of all kinds. With a background in services to older people including many years of teaching gerontology at the college level, and as a Fellow of The Gerontological Society of America, as well as a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in New York State, you can be assured that my staff and I have the skills and interest to keep your family’s welfare at heart, minimizing your stress and maximizing your returns while helping you through a difficult time. That Will to Divest
That Will to Divest
by Kay Ryan
Action creates
a taste
for itself.
Meaning: once
you've swept
the shelves
of spoons
and plates
you kept
for guests,
it gets harder
not to also
simplify the larder,
not to dismiss
rooms, not to divest yourself
of all the chairs
but one, not
to test what
singleness can bear,
once you've begun.
